Nice as a design piece. I think this is the same original paper from 50 + years ago. I still don’t make a list when I shop. I will one day, when I forget what I came to the store for. Till then, I’m winging it.

I love these. I really like this kind that just has the roll of paper as opposed to the ones that list the foods and you pop a little peg into the hole. The foods are rarely anything you’d buy and the pegs end up in my cats’ throats and me with a big vet bill.
Any date on this anywhere?

No dates or makers mark. I’m thinking mid to late 40’s. It is my understanding, red was the kitchen color of the 40’s. The artwork is silk screened and held up well over the years. It was on the wall more as decoration at tag sale a few years ago. Never found another like this again.
My grandmother had one of these on her wall with equally aged paper, I never saw her use it, either. Hers is just plain wood with a floral painted-on design though, not chef-shaped.
