Steampunk style lamp

Don’t know if this would be considered kitsch or not, but wanted to share this one-of-a-kind steampunk style lamp made from old machinery parts (old gears and valves and carburetors and rusted sheet metal and who knows what). I love these kind of lamps. They are so interesting to look at, like something out of a Jules Verne novel.

I see I’m going to have to do some Steampunk research. And, yes, this most certainly qualifies as Kitsch.

My father owned a junkyard in Detroit and I spent the first part of my life playing with all kinds of mechanical parts. I later built tons of assemblage art, props and furniture (https://www.alleewillis.com/art/index.htm). I have a few pieces like this that I scatter around my yard as sculptures but I don’t have any that have been converted into lamps. They’re a little too heavy esthetically for me to be able to use inside but in general, I absolutely love the reuse of old machinery parts in any way, shape or form.
