45 years later these snowflake decals still glow in the dark, though the adhering film is dried up. Anyone remember the stick-on stars we used to put on the bedroom ceiling? When the lights went out, there was the big dipper.

I love vintage decals and treasure them even more if they’re glow-in-the-dark.
I definitely remember the stick on stars and even though I loved looking at them on many of my friends’ ceilings I never put them up because I didn’t like how completely straight all the edges were. I always liked when things looked more crafty and homemade even when I was a wee nipper.
I still pick up vintage decals whenever I see them cheap enough but I’ve never ever used any that I have because I like how they look in the vintage packaging too much.

That’s my problem sometimes. I’ll find some vintage product, think I can use it and then end up ruining the piece! I’ve learned over the years to leave certain things alone in their vintage packaging.

Yes, one of the rules in the Willis manual of Kitsch: Never use of vintage product, especially those that come in original packaging, unless you find more than one of them ( and preferably more than two).
