This kitschy ceramic cat is kind of strange. It’s face is smooth, but the rest of it is covered with these pottery blobs, which are not so much “spaghetti” as.. uhm.. beans? Tentacles? Either way, I really like him. He’s signed illegibly on the bottom, maybe he’s homemade?
Such fur!
Fat tail, or just fluffy?
Serious face.

Really bizarre to see the techniques mixed. My vote is that this was a home project and the artist messed the body up and star ted covering it with the “fur”. That’s how I originally got into texturing the ceramics I made (http://www.bubblestheartist.com/ceramics/thumbs-ceramics.html) . Either that or they started with a mass-produced cat and put their artistry on after.
I love the close-up of the face. He’s so bewildered with all those little tapeworms on him. The tail is a Kitsch masterpiece.

Where to begin? The pained expression? The Groucho eyebrows? The maggot-infested body? You’re far too in your use of the adjective, “kinda.”

Yes, this is really a genius work of art on the shelves here at AWMoK.

Thank you both, I’m glad you like him!
