
This pair of salt and pepper shakers are from the 1950’s. Living here in Tucson, I must admit that many of the giant saguaros do look like people. In fact, some Native Americans believed that saguaros contained the spirits of people from the past. Anyway, isn’t this pair a hoot?

FANTASTIC! I love that they don’t have any of the little bumps that cacti normally have and, of course, that they are interpreted as cow folk. Though I’m not quite sure how Mrs. Cactus’ wardrobe or lack of it fits into the theme…?
