Here we have the Pep Boys (Manny, Moe and Jack) out in the wild West riding bareback on a bronking horse (looks to me like they’re about to bite the dust). This colorful and campy 2 gallon oil can was manufactured in 1949.
Wow! Never saw the boys in this decade and didn’t realize Pep Boys went back that far back. I wish they stayed with this colorful of cans. I was always afraid to take my cars there to be serviced though. I wonder what kind of job they did on horses?
