Once again, the kindness of old friends proves immeasurable. No sooner did I promise to get a snap of the Shelton’s Nursery “George Washington on a Camel” on my next trip back to Brandon than THIS showed up in my inbox.
This is the least colorful I’ve ever seen either of them look, but boy, don’t they still look as regal as the day George and his team of camels crossed the Delaware to open that wooden denture franchise?
All due kitschy credits to the family Yambor.

Ok, the scale of this kills me. I was expecting a big tall camel and this is more like George has mounted a llama. Which makes it all the better, of course. The thought of it sitting next to the pink elephant is too much to even think about. https://www.alleewillis.com/awmok/kitschenette/2010/05/22/sheltons-nursery-pink-elephant/
I’m so in love with George Washington here. I’ve never been prouder to be an American.

Haha, this is so great. I want to put little flags in his fists. God bless the USA!
