I suppose my grandmother made this towel-hanger owl at some point. It isn’t macrame’d, it’s crochet. Owls are kitschy. I like this one. Next to it is a crochet turtle-shaped pin-cushion who has been stabbed into the wood paneling via thumbtack for some inexplicable reason.

Way, way, way reeeeealllly good! Grandma had serious craft skills. I like that there are so many pieces to the owl that it actually serves a function as a towel ring.
For sure we need a close up of the crocheted internal pin cushion, with or without the offending thumbtack.
Makes me happy to think that the turtle and owl have been friends all these years.

Thanks! She crocheted a lot of things, from pot holders and afghans to doilies and floofy covers to make the spare roll of TP on the back of the toilet look good.

Well, I’d love to see it all!
