I bought this last year at the Brimfield Antique and Flea Market.You cant tell by my pictures, but some of the images are embossed. The bank is true in the Fun Fund, it says “Fun’s more fun-if you’ve got some $ Mon $! It is dated 1957 by Mary Dorman.

This is knocking me out not only because of the gorgeous design and color palette but because I have something so similar that isn’t a box at all but rather very similar illustrations and headers, all cut-outs mounted on cardboard in little plastic enclosures that are supposed to serve as three individual banks. I’ve been meaning to post the “Fun Banks” (manufactured by Noo Novelties, NYC) in my Kitsch O’ The Day blog after some extreme day on Wall Street but always forget about it when the time comes. Last week’s computer glitch and market tumble would have been an excellent opportunity. I will make it a point to post it during the next calamity whenever that might be which I’m hoping is not soon.
