This set was spotted at the “Joan of Arc” thrift store. Most likely repro’s (not sure), I was just intent on arranging them to snap a quick pic. One piece is missing a bottom part, see the lonely lid?

I’m not sure about the repro status of this set. It could go either way. Lots of times finishes this bright are a sure sign of repro-ness. But on the other hand, these bright blazes were all the rage in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s with companies like Fiesta. Did you look on the bottoms of every piece to see if there’s any manufacturer mark anywhere? How much was the set? If it’s really cheap this might be one to snap up.

What’s the orange that’s all the way in the back in front of the black thing for a dollar? A napkin holder? A bookend?

oooh I love these, Im not sure if they are repo either…I have an orange jam pot that has foreign underneath. I have a collection of china called Carlton Ware which are plates and condiments all shaped like leaves. I love the way you were in the Thrift Shop and that you were going to do a bit of arranging for your picture ..

The ladies will sometimes look at me like I’m nutty when they see me re-arranging things. It’s okay, I often try to listen in on their conversations and the most recent one was about how they all couldn’t find the right bra’s to wear.
Like a goof, I did not inspect the bottom of these.
I am going on my usual Joan of Arc visit tomorrow. Will see if the black thing is still there.
I have one question though, what would the smaller orange be used for, the one with the big hole?

I misunderstood…..the thing in the back is a napkin holder.
