Mamie Van Doren, of course, was the poor man’s Jayne Mansfield, which is definitely saying that there was a run on the bank.
I haven’t seen this film but it’s a safe bet that anything starring Mamie has got to have an excessive dose of kitsch in it. And if this is the most compelling still they could pull from the film it’s even better than I suspect.

It’s filled with kitsch from the opening to the closing of the film. Come on, her name in the film is “Vi Victor”, doesn’t get any more kitsch than that. This has been a favorite of mine for ages now. You must check it out!
