Snapped just hours ago…traveling with a camera has its reward. He had just put his head on along side a building on route to his corner post. I rolled down the window and got a friendly wave.

I love things like this that leave out crucial details especially when there’s nothing else in the immediate area to give a hint as to context. Is it 49 cents? Is it 49 dollars? Are there 49 different sizes? And 49 of what?
Is there any store in sight? Is the white brick wall the side of the store? And is that a lawn gone bad or a muddy parking lot in front of the pavement he’s standing on?
What I think I love most though is that his shoes are sticking out of the bottom of his gorilla suit.

This was 30 seconds of magic. Having a camera set everything in motion and I acted on it. The gorilla suit against the white wall, the sign and the wave… and oh yes the shoes, but I didn’t catch that then. Thank you for validating this spontaneous moment.
