Long after Johnny Appleseed planted a bazillion apple trees, Lisbon Ohio gathers an for an “anything apples” festival. Love the graphics, but did not commit to the purchase at the Village Thrift store. I think the grid of the cart & vinyl flooring frame the plate nicely with the price still in place.

Yes, I think what really makes the plate interesting is the shopping cart and flecked linoleum background.
I do like that the plate comes from 1970′ and that there’s actually such a thing as an anything apples festival. I’m not nuts about plain apples but I sure like them in pies and apple crisp is one of my favorite desserts ever.

The fun part is that Johnny Appleseed wasn’t planting apple trees so that everyone could keep the doctor away, he was planting them to make alcohol so everyone could forget why they needed a doctor in the first place. =)
This sounds like fun though, maybe I can make it to this apple party sometime.

So is wasn’t just about making America beautiful? Then that makes perfect sense. As the trees matures, he goes back, harvests the apples, makes hard cider aka alcohol, has an inhome business and parties alot. I think Lisbon is in southern Ohio.
