I’m a little late with this, and I’m not sure if it qualifies as kitsch, but I just had to show off these mis-printed peeps. I bought them specifically because their “eyes” are misplaced below their beaks on their little peep stomachs! Heh heh. Maybe nobody else wanted them but they found a home in my Easter basket.

Misplaced eyes and ripped off beaks on anything mass manufactured by a supposedly legit company is always something to celebrate! Where was the quality control person? Were the eyes right on the other packages? Maybe these were some overseas Peeps…? One way or another, these were the ones I would’ve chosen for my Easter basket as well.

Nessa, for sure you saved this pack of Peeps from the dreaded 50% off shelf, or worse yet, to never sell at all and be sent to the doomed world of stale Peeps and Bunnies.

All of the surrounding Peeps at the store were perfectly normal. The mutants tasted fine, though :D

And doesn’t the fact that they’re blue also contribute to their mutant-ness? In my youth, they came in pink and yellow– that’s it.
