I’m not of the proper religion to know who that statue is but I hope he’s doing his job of protecting the residents of the house with the mysterious doll outfit in the window. Maybe there used to be a tree there and they just missed a big hunk of wood blocking the view from the living room.

Front lawn treatments are just about my favorite genre of Kitsch.

I think the statue is a monk of some sort? Don’t know. The doll dress in the window had me in stitches when I saw that! Spooky.

I think it’s St. Francis of Assisi, the traditional patron saint of animals and the environment popular with Catholics.

Thank you Mark. The traffic light was right at this house and we hit a red light. I keep my camera out even in the car now!

It sure does make a guy wonder why they would put his feet in cement though.

Mark, probably because it wasn’t in the greatest neighborhood. Makes sense huh? lol

I thought it was St Francis…I think its hysterical, you pull up at traffic lights hit the zoom and you get an empty dolls dress….

Maybe it’s not a dress at all, but a hat.

Do you think New Bedford might have a splinter group from the red hat society that mocks them by wearing hats to lunch that look like red doll dresses?

    Just a thought.

I would love to go to a red hat tea party. Can you see us all sitting around in red hats, crinoline and tennis sneakers?

Needless to say, I’d kill for that to happen! Purple church lady hats way more appropriate though, for obvious reasons.
