Not sure what this is exactly but I love the graphics and those tiny fish swimming around. I didn’t know they had cactus in the ocean?

Looks like a matchbook cover or something similar. I love the graphics, especially the fish. It’s a totally Atomic design with the squared off fish lifting to a new level. It’s a perfect design for something named the Terrace Room. Which I’ve been in and unless I had too many Bloody Mary’s for brunch it’s been severely redesigned since this was made, shedding every inch of Atomic hipness and lapsing into late 80’s postmodern dreck.
I didn’t know about cactus in the ocean either (although I think it’s coral) but who knew they had Christmas trees down there either?

I think the little fish look like swimming bow ties. I am a HUGE fan of Atomic Kitsch. I don’t have much of it, but I can still dream!

I love this and wish it were decorated this way too. But for a cheap pizza and a marg I do love to sit out back on the water and watch the sunset there.

Mark….is there anything that remains of the old place at all?

I might be the last person to ask about details of a non descript interior when it stands between me and a margarita on the beach. I do think the lobby up front may still have some of the furnishings from that look. I don’t remember the inside seating of the restaurant having anything similar to that going back 15 years or so. Let me see if I can fit it into my travels in the next month or so.

http://www.hotellaguna.com/index.html gives you the pictures of the restaurant, but not the little lobby up front.

Mark! Thank you! I recall now. I used to go here and sit outside on the deck/veranda part of the restaurant. Your a stand up guy, thanks for posting!
