I got this at a garage sale in LA. I don’t know how old it is but I love the lucite handles mixed with the vinyl and than the needlepoint. Occasionally my daughter and I use it for special occasions!!
Is the body of the purse clear plastic? And are those coins thrown in on the needlepoint or is it just needlepointed gold thread circles?
Definitely 1950’s when these were all the rage.
I have a huge collection of these purses. Mostly gold leather or vinyl with coins or felt figures stuffed behind clear plastic. Many of them are huge, big enough to put my laptop in so I schlep them around to meetings a lot as briefcases.

HI Allee
The coins are glued on. As a matter of fact one of them is even fell off.
The body of the purse is clear plastic.
It isn’t really good for major shlepping! Just a wallet and a few sundry items, but we still enjoy it.
My daughter has it on display in her room.
