Well, I have to give it a Love Is In The Hair Award because so many of my college days were spent waiting for this movie and then seeing it repeatedly. Everyone in the audience knew the ending already because the book was so huge but nonetheless it was a 100 tissue movie, kitsch and culture worthy for the title song alone.

Special props to Ali McGraw, amazingly cloying but nonetheless effective in this role and the only other Ali (tho spelled differently) I had ever heard of back in the day before the name became as common as Jane.
