I love Cher. I wonder if this is really what she wore to exercise in?

I’ve written songs for her though none of her major hits. Cher was a very early champion of mine, encouraging me to be multi-media and not to just stick to music when I first started to dip into other interests in the early 1980s. She was unique among music industry people, many of whom thought it was nuts not to continue churning out hundreds of songs a year.

One of the great benefits of knowing Cher in those years was being invited to her legendary garage sales which were poolside at her Benedict Canyon Egyptian themed home. I never saw this workout outfit hanging there so perhaps it was actually saved and used for aerobic activities in the 90’s.

My grandparents used to live in Benedict Canyon.
Did people actually use the pool at the garage sale?
dont tell me you wrote “shopping”!? which ones did you write?

The only one I can remember right now was a song called “Young & Pretty” in 1980. The album was called Black Rose but that may have been the name of a group she formed to record the LP with. Something like that. I have a great letter from Cher in 1985 asking if I would write her a song and that she had also asked Madonna, Elton John and Daryl Hall. When I got my first photo scanner in the late 1980’s that letter was one of the first things I scanned in.

I have Black Rose! Thats considered a very rare and special LP because it is her “rock band”, and not just Cher. I thought it would take me an hour to dig it out but I just found it.

One of my favorite songs ever i is think called “Rock and Roll and Brew” and its a duet by Meatloaf and Cher, but as far as i know its only on his album, and she is uncredited. it just says “boy” and “girl” on the lyrics.

I have a copy of Black Rose somewhere but haven’t seen it for years. I think I may have been in the studio when she did that with Meatloaf. He was coming and I was going. to
