I love these kind of hooked rugs. I always figured they were handmade as the edges are always so ratty but now that you say it’s mass produced I won’t be as prejudiced against the assembly line kind as they still have that fantastically naive Kitsch look.
My brother had a gold/copper and white ’56 Bel-Air. My lust for ’50’s cars began with that.
How old is this rug?

They come as a kit, so the kit is mass-produced. This one was hooked by Mom. It’s about 15 years old.
I had a salmon (pink) and white ’57 Bel-Air 2 dr hardtop in high school in the early 70’s, complete with an 8-track screwed to the bottom of the dash. My current wife and I dated in it.

I have an under dash 45 player in my 55 DeSoto.Heavy chrome player screws in and plays upside down. DeSoto is tri-tone: black, white and aquamarine.
Salmon and pink ’57… nice!

Wow, flipping 45s while driving must be at least as dangerous as poking at an Ipod!

So much more, not to mention that the player’s upside down and the car weighs as much as a truck!
