I’m sure anybody that grew up with the Atari 2600 remembers these. This is almost all of the patches Activision offered framed up together (there are still about five I need). For those who don’t remember them or know what they are I’ll explain. Activision would set a high score value for each of their games, and if you reached it and sent photographic proof of your accomplishment you would get a patch for that game. And before you ask, no, I didn’t earn any of these patches. I always loved the idea behind them though, and I thought they were really cool. My brother did manage to get a few when the promotion was still going on, but all of these were purchased well after it ended.

Excellent collection! I loved the Atari when I first saw it but never played anything as the last thing I needed was one more thing to distract me. But I loved that you acquired almost all of the patches, keyword being ‘acquired’. Its always nice when the patches are yours but as someone who obsessively roamed eBay until I had every 1950’s and 60’s Girl Scouts badge I can totally dig it.

I had to be honest :). I wish game companies still did this. I forgot to mention it, but my mother actually earned the Kaboom one. She was younger than me when it happened too. I can understand the patch addiction. If I could go back in time I would gladly earn them, but since I can’t buying them seems like a good alternative.
