OMG!! I’ve only seen a picture of one of these once before. I loved it then and I love it even more now as I didn’t see a close up and had no idea it was actually a textured orange. Do you know anything more about this vehicle – when it was made, where it is, how many of them were made, etc.?
I WANT ONE OF THESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The car has a top speed of 30 mph. At more than 30 it is unstable, and can roll over. Six of these customised minis were commissioned by Outspan from a company called Brian Waite Enterprise Ltd. based at Bodium in East Sussex. They were built between 1972 and 1974, and were used on advertising campaigns both in this country and in Europe. One of the six is known to live in South Africa these days. This is at the Motor Museum at Beaulieu In Hampshire no far from us.
Can you imagine dong 35mph and just rolling around ????
The world needs more of this positive creative energy! The U.S. has is an Oscar Meyer Weiner mobile, but nearly as sqeezable. Love it!

I have not heard of the Oscar Meyer Weiner mobile before, have just checked it out on line – brilliant says it all!!
You are right, more of this great creative energy is indeed needed!
I love how wide the headlights are. They look like little animal eyes, and I don’t even know if they would light up the road right in front of you. The stem is the perfect representation of an orange stem! It has three wheels right? This is a dream come true.
Nessa
Oh wow, I definitely would quit car pooling if I had one of these.
wendy
Glad that you all like the Outspan! It would be just great to have a drive/roll around in one of these!
Mark Blackwell
oh how i want to drive this…
wendy
I know it is just fab!
denny
Holy bam-pow batman! This is fabulous and I would just die for at least one ride in it! I would absolutely drive this around if I had one.
wendy
I know, it is just great isn’t it! I can just see Mum and I going shopping in this. She would of course want a side car fitted for her pug she has yet to own, and to store all the charity shop kitsch that she would have brought!
There is also a Pea Car, I will post a pic on shortly.
